Light up South Memphis is a new community improvement organization with a mission of improving South Memphis. For more information on the organization visit our website at www.lightupsouthmemphis.org We are looking for interns to work with us on some new community projects.
What You Will Do
Complete a community improvement project
Establish and build relationships with community partners
Receive academic/college credit
Must be enrolled (or recently) in a college or university
Must be in good academic standing
Strong communication and presentation skills
Be available a minimum of 10 to 15 hours a week
Must have a strong interest in improving the South Memphis community
Must possess a positive and professional attitude
Academic Credit: Students who enroll in the LUSM Internship Program can receive academic credit as long as their institution approves their participation. LUSM will work to ensure that the student receives credit for their internship term.
Stipends: Selected interns will receive a monthly stipend of at least 100.00 with bonuses available depending on work performance and project completion.
