The Connected Generation- An infographic

In IBM’s Global CEO Study “Leading Through Connections,” report, 176 senior government and public officials were interviewed about the future of technology and the "connected economy." Similar to the private sector, senior public officials envision social media overtaking all other forms of contact with citizens, including face-to-face interaction. According to the report, 59% expect to use it as a main means of communication over the next 3-5 years compared to just 14% today.

Social media has obviously boomed and is quickly becoming a powerful tool for government organizations to reach citizens. Below is a pretty cool infographic that shows just how much the internet/social media has changed over the last 10 years. I encourage you to check it out.
