Recommended Reading from Imagining America on Engaged Scholarship by Grad Students

Imagining America shares this new blog post, "The Next Generation of Engaged Scholars: Graduate Students Mobilize," by A. Wendy Nastasi, who serves as PAGE Central New York director for IA.

Wendy uses the post, which is also featured by the American Commonwealth Partnership blog, Democracy U, to describe the ways in which Syracuse University graduate students articulate the importance of publicly engaged scholarship in their graduate education.

Mobilizing in response to an article critical of Syracuse University’s engaged practices, graduate students worked collectively to craft a statement outlining how democratic ideals are essential to knowledge production in higher education.
