Faculty, Staff and Students are invited to attend an Energy Summit hosted by Senator and Majority Leader Mark Norris from Shelby County and the University of Memphis at the Rose Theatre on Tuesday, November 29 from 9:00 am to 12:00 Noon.
The Energy Summit is being presented under the University of Memphis Papasan Public Policy Institute. It will bring several agencies and companies together to discuss the future of energy policy in Memphis and the region.
The program will feature presentations from America’s Gas Alliance, The University of Memphis Center for Biofuel Energy and Sustainable Technologies, Clean Line Energy Partners, FedEx Corporation, Memphis Light Gas and Water, Sharp Electronics Corporation, Sustainable Shelby and The Tennessee Valley Authority.
Shelby County Mayor Mark Luttrell and Senator and Shelby County Legislative Delegation Chairwoman Beverly Marrero will open the Summit with remarks.
There will also be booths and flex fuel vehicles presented at the Summit.
All faculty, staff and students are invited to the summit.
