“The most interesting thing I’ve done was completely out of my job description,” says Zobell. “I was asked to play a violin solo at ‘Welcome to Washington,’ Senator Reid’s weekly constituent meeting held in the Lyndon B. Johnson room of the U.S. Capitol.”
Under the direction of a Grants Specialist, Zobell supports constituents as they navigate the grant seeking process by creating outreach materials informing them of different funding opportunities and drafting letters of support to be included in their grant applications. She is also working on a research project examining the amount of funding Nevada has received under the Appropriations Bills and determining where Nevada is lacking in funds.
Zobell, who graduated with her Masters in Public Administration from the University of Memphis in May, had served as one of the respected Housing and Community Development (HCD) Fellowship program within the School of Urban Affairs and Public Policy.
